Hystorical Church In Pakistan

I have the hardest time working with pictures ..so sorry..

And in the memory of
Rev Thomas Hunter (1827-1857),
His wife Jane and  their Infant  Child who died  on
9th July 1857 at the hands of Rebels.
Escaping from Sialkot Jail Thomas Hunter was
a village boy from Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
He became a Pastor  and was convinced that God
was calling him  to Sialkot. He was sent in 1855 by
The Church of Scotland as the First Missionary
to the Punjab. On reaching Bombay, He was asked to  to work
at a College temporarily and he met Muhammad Ismail
who taught him Urdu Language.
As soon as It was convenient, He set out on the long journey to Sialkot with his wife , baby and
Muhammad Ismail . He took up residence on the Mall near the  Cathedral, which was consecrated in
January 1887…….
